THE DAY
WHAT THE DAY LOOKS LIKE
One country away
The Dolomites look nothing like Bavaria: pale limestone towers, Italian coffee, Tyrolean food, and a road network built for exactly this kind of day. We leave Munich early, cross the Brenner, and are at the first lake before the buses arrive.
Lago di Braies, early
The Pearl of the Dolomites is famous for a reason and crowded for the same one. We time it so you see it the way it deserves — the wooden boathouse, the green water, the wall of rock behind it — while it is still quiet.
The passes
Falzarego, Sella, Gardena. These are the roads people drive the Dolomites for, and in a silent car with a glass roof they are something else again. We stop where the view earns it, not where the car park is biggest.
Lunch at 2,752 metres
The cable car to Rifugio Lagazuoi puts you on a terrace above the whole range. It is the best lunch table in the Alps, and we try to be there at the right hour.
The longest day we sell
Around fifteen hours door to door from Munich. It is a lot, and it is worth it — but we would rather say so before you book than after. If you are staying closer to the mountains, the same day from Garmisch is two hours shorter.

CHOOSE YOUR AFTERNOON
This is where a private day earns its price. Depending on how you feel by lunchtime, we pick one together.
THE ROUTE
HOW THE DAY RUNS
Munich → Brenner → Lago di Braies → Cortina → Passo Falzarego → Sella & Gardena → Munich
• Pick-up in Munich around 7:00 — the day starts before the crowds do.
• Through Tyrol and over the Brenner — a scenic drive into Italy with a stop for a proper espresso.
• Lago di Braies — a relaxed walk along the emerald water with the mountain standing in it.
• Hidden lakes and viewpoints — a quieter turquoise lake and curated stops facing Tre Cime and Monte Cristallo.
• Cortina d'Ampezzo and Passo Falzarego — the Olympic town and one of Italy's legendary mountain roads.
• Lagazuoi, 2,752 m — cable car up for lunch on the terrace among the limestone peaks. Ticket and lunch extra.
• The Sella loop and Gardena Pass — the most dramatic driving of the day.
• Back in Munich late in the evening, door to door.

We went on a day tour of the Dolomites from Munich!! It was an amazing day and experience. Julia and Rudy had planned the day so well. They took us to all the important sights/ places which one would not do if you went on your own. Though … [cut off on Google — full text needed]
