We’re Yulia and Rudi — two professionals who’ve lived and worked around the world, but found something truly special in Garmisch. Now we call it home — and help others feel at home here too.
Rudi Markert
The Man of the Mountains
For over 30 years, Rudi has climbed cliffs, summited peaks, and trekked alpine routes across Austria, Switzerland, and far beyond.
With a background in healthcare and education, he now combines his love of the outdoors with teaching IT and economics at a private school in Munich.
He’s a true mountain spirit — calm, strong, and endlessly curious. Whether skiing, hiking, or just sitting quietly by a lake, he knows how to feel the rhythm of the Alps — and help you feel it too.
Yulia Ponomareva
The Heart Behind the Journey
After living in big cities like Moscow, New York, and London truly found herself in Garmisch. Yulia has a background in marketing, international business, and tech — with years of experience working across global markets.
A passionate runner, biker, skier, and hiker. She speaks English, Russian and a little German, and her love for nature and people shines in every custom experience she creates.
Garmisch wasn’t planned — it was love at first sight. And she’s stayed ever since.
