THE DAY
WHAT THE DAY LOOKS LIKE
Your route, your pace
This is the day we build with you. Alpine lakes, hidden forest corners, a waterfall, a village of painted houses — tell us what you want out of a day on a bike and we put the route together around that and around your fitness. The motor takes the climbs; you keep the views.
Two routes we come back to
The first is a loop around Garmisch-Partenkirchen with stops at the lakes above the town and the waterfall at Farchant. The second runs out to Mittenwald with a stop at Schloss Elmau on the way — a longer day, with the Karwendel wall beside you for most of it.
Easy even if it has been years
Electric assist means the hills stop being the point. We ride at the pace of the slowest person in the group, stop wherever the light is good, and break at a hut by the water.

THE ROUTE
HOW THE DAY RUNS
Garmisch-Partenkirchen → the lakes and the Farchant waterfall → Grainau or Mittenwald → Garmisch-Partenkirchen
• Meet at the e-bike shop in Garmisch-Partenkirchen — whichever of the two is closer to where you are staying. Fitting, a short safety briefing, and off.
• The lakes — quiet forest paths above the town, away from the traffic, with stops at the water.
• The Farchant waterfall — a short walk from the bikes into the gorge, then back out onto the valley trail.
• Your long leg — either the loop home through Grainau with the Zugspitze in front of you, or the ride out to Mittenwald past Schloss Elmau.
• A break at a hut — a drink and something to eat, somewhere with a view.
• Back to the shop in the late afternoon. The route we agree in the morning and adjust as the day goes.

BEFORE YOU COME
MEETING POINT
The ride starts in Garmisch-Partenkirchen in one of two e-bike shops, which is closer to your accommodation.
WHAT TO BRING
• Comfortable clothes you can cycle in
• A warm layer — it is cooler at the lake than in town, and colder again at the summit
• Sunglasses and sun cream on sunny days
KNOW BEFORE YOU BOOK
You need to be comfortable balancing and braking on a regular bicycle—the motor is only there to assist you on the climbs. Children and pets are very welcome, but you should be able to carry them if they get tired.
If the weather makes the ride impossible, we have a few great backup options:
1. We can reschedule the tour for another day if it works for your calendar.
2. We can easily switch to a comfortable car tour (for groups of up to 4 people).
3. We can refund the tour in full, minus a minor 5% bank processing fee.
Whenever possible, we run our tours with both of us, meaning you get two local hosts instead of just one!
