I came to Garmisch-Partenkirchen expecting beautiful mountains, lakes and a few days of exploring the Bavarian Alps. What I did not expect was to leave with one of the most memorable experiences of my entire Europe trip - and with Yulia no longer feeling like my guide, but like a real friend.

From the very beginning, everything with Yulia felt incredibly personal. This was never a standard tour where you simply follow an itinerary and tick off famous places. She paid attention to what I enjoyed, how I was feeling, my energy, my pace, and then somehow kept finding ways to show me something even more beautiful. Every day felt as though I was exploring the Alps with a very knowledgeable local friend who genuinely wanted me to experience the best of her home.

Over several days, we spent long hours together hiking, e-biking and exploring Garmisch-Partenkirchen and the surrounding Alps - including Zugspitze, Eibsee, Mittenwald, Lake Eibsee, and beautiful lakes and landscapes across Bavaria and Austria. I was doing some of these activities for the first time, and Yulia was incredibly attentive, encouraging and patient throughout. I always felt taken care of, while still feeling free and adventurous.

What touched me most was her enthusiasm. She doesn’t simply know these mountains - she clearly loves them. She wants you to see the hidden paths, the quiet viewpoints, the little villages and the places that you would never discover by following a normal tourist itinerary. And somewhere between the biking, hiking, lakes, mountains, conversations, laughter and very long days together, the relationship naturally changed. I arrived as her guest and left feeling that I had made a wonderful new friend. That alone says a lot about how warm, sincere and generous Yulia is as a person.

If you are visiting Garmisch-Partenkirchen or the Bavarian Alps and want something truly personal rather than a conventional tour, I cannot recommend Yulia and Garmisch Alpine Paradise highly enough. She will not simply show you the Alps - she will make you feel connected to them.

For me, this became one of those rare travel experiences that I know I will remember for many years.

Our day touring the German Alps and surrounding sights was truly one of the highlights of our entire trip. Our guides were absolutely amazing—not only incredibly knowledgeable, but also warm, thoughtful, flexible, and genuinely wonderful people.

What made the experience so special was how flexible they were throughout the day. They took the time to understand what our family wanted to see, offered wonderful suggestions, and adjusted the day along the way to make sure we had the best experience possible. It never felt like a standard, cookie-cutter tour—it felt completely personalized to us.

The convenience of being picked up right at our hotel and dropped off afterward made everything so easy and relaxing. We were able to simply enjoy the incredible scenery, beautiful stops, and our time together.

While Neuschwanstein Castle—the legacy of King Ludwig II—is popular among many Japanese tourists, few visit Herrenchiemsee Palace or Linderhof Palace. We managed to visit Herrenchiemsee on our own the day before, which was quite an adventurous journey involving multiple train and boat transfers. However, what our spouse and We were looking forward to most was the Venus Grotto at Linderhof Palace.Unlike Neuschwanstein, this site is free from tourist crowds; it is a beautiful, otherworldly place far from Munich where one can enjoy a sense of quiet serenity. That said, visiting independently is even more challenging for Japanese travelers than reaching Herrenchiemsee.We would like to deeply thank Rudy and Yulya for providing a seamless, door-to-door guided tour that allowed us to travel completely stress-free. As history enthusiasts, we were able to truly immerse ourselves in the world of King Ludwig II’s Lohengrin and Tannhäuser in the village of Ettal, nestled among the Ammergau Alps in southwestern Bavaria. Our guides also extended a warmth and hospitality that perfectly mirrored the Japanese spirit of omotenashi. We are truly grateful, Rudy and Yulya.

Our day spent with Yulia & Rudi was the highlight of our days in Germany!

We felt like we were being shown around by good friends all day long. They were flexible & accommodated our wishes of things to skip & sights we most definitely wanted to see. Yulia brought delightful snacks, even accommodating my vegan diet. The Tesla was a sparkling clean and comfortable ride & Rudi was a safe and attentive driver. We stopped and enjoyed a late lunch together as a group and had a lovely time. We hiked and swam and took so many great photos! Yulia even made us a video of the photos she took. It was wonderful to have a “photographer”! I would say my favorite part of the sights was going through the Platnachklamm Gorge, & swimming in the tourquoise waters of Eibsee Lake. Truly so beautiful. Our day on this tour was a very special balance of sights and experiences and learning and spending time with new people who quickly felt like friends. If you can get on Yulia & Rudi’s schedule, you will be treated to a most dreamy day, no matter what experience with them you choose to enjoy.

From the moment we started planning this private tour our experience was very professional and accommodating. Yulia our guide she is a gem with such a warm personality and highly motivated guide (highly recommendable!). We truly enjoyed the entire day with her taking us through the area. The scenery was beautiful and it was a relieve to walk in such a quiet and peaceful environment. The Lake Eibsee, the mountains were absolutely stunning! The Bavarian towns were so picturesque just like post card as I expected. The Gorge was an amazing experience! She let us do the tour in our own pace. She got snacks for us so we took breaks and had a little picnic every place we stopped.

She made a beautiful friendly atmosphere for us and gave us a choice to customize the tour so we can cover all our favorite places. All respect for Yulia who does a great job there; a true sample of excellent tour guide!
