Here's what a day with Garmisch Alpine Paradise actually looks like — and why we think it's the best way to experience the Bavarian Alps.

We Come to You

Your day starts with zero stress. We pick you up directly from your hotel in Munich — no need to figure out trains, buses, or where to meet. We arrive at your door in our Tesla Model Y: quiet, comfortable, and emission-free. Honestly, we think this car was designed precisely for days like these — smooth on the Autobahn, nimble on mountain roads, and big enough to feel relaxed with all your gear.

At the end of the day, we drop you back at your hotel. No logistics to think about. Just the Alps.

The Route Adapts to the Day

This is where private touring really shows its value.

Say we're heading to the Zugspitze — Germany's highest peak. We check the webcams before we leave and again on the way. Mountains make their own weather, and the summit can be crystal clear by noon even when it's cloudy at 9am. If it's socked in up top, we don't rush the cable car and stand in fog. Instead, we head somewhere equally spectacular first — maybe Partnachklamm, the dramatic gorge carved by a glacial river — and then make our way up the mountain when the clouds have cleared.

No group tour does this. They can't. But we can, and we do, every time.

And if you decide mid-day that you'd rather see Mittenwald — the painted village with the violin-making tradition — instead of the original plan? We adjust. We trim time elsewhere, reroute, and make it work. Your trip, your call.

Up to Four Guests — Small by Design

Because we travel by car, our tours fit up to four people. This isn't a limitation — it's a choice. Small groups mean real conversations, flexible stops, and the feeling of traveling with people who actually care where you go.

If your group is smaller than four, that's perfectly fine. Sometimes one of us joins you for the full day in the car; other times, I might meet you partway on my bicycle in Garmisch to join the tour — because why not, when the roads are this beautiful.

Local Knowledge You Won't Find in a Guidebook

We live between Munich and Garmisch-Partenkirchen. Rudi has been guiding in these mountains for over 30 years. I moved here a few years ago and found this place absolutely incredible and fantastic. 

That means you're not getting a rehearsed script. You're getting real stories: the history behind the places, what life actually looks like in a small Bavarian alpine town, the traditions that are still alive, the spots locals go to that don't show up on any tourist map.

Snacks, Tea, and a Bavarian Meal

We always bring water, tea, and a healthy snack — because mountains make you hungry, and nobody should be stuck looking for a vending machine at 2,000 meters.

And we almost very often end the day at a local restaurant, so you can try Bavarian food the way it's meant to be eaten: fresh, hearty, and in good company. If you have dietary preferences or restrictions, no problem — we know the area well and we'll find you something you'll love.
